There was a shooting incident a week ago, at this writing.
Some Army doctor went nuts one day, and shot a dozen or so people (reportedly shouting something about Allah during the exercise).
Believe it or not, some public balloonhead went into the news, declaring that this incident was a good reason for increased gun control.
As it happened, the Army base was a perfect example of a gun-controlled environment. Guns were prohibited on the premises, and enlisted people are by and large very observant of the rules. If the staff and soldiers had been armed, the doctor wouldn't even have considered doing what he did, because the minute he tried it he would have had more holes in him than Spongebob .
Gun-o-phobic Balloonheads just refuse to accept the reality that you can only take guns away from good people. Bad people will always be able to get them, and they will get them.
It is possible, of course, that the aforementioned Balloonheads want bad people, and not good people, to have guns. This seems like a bad idea but many of their ideas seem like bad ideas.**********
Maybe they don't know that there are good people. Maybe in their circles they never get an opportunity to meet any good people.
