Chapter 3

I had a contractor come to the house to do a roof-ventilating task. Unsurprisingly, he was able to figure out a way to #@&% the job up.

Was I disturbed? Yes, but not for long.
Birds fly, fish swim, and contractors #@&% things up. It's just the natural order of things. If you are a bird, you're going to fly. If you are a fish, you are going to swim. And if you are a contractor, you are going to #@&% things up.

I just noticed that the tile guy used the wrong kind of caulk, and it's all cracking and falling apart after just a few months. What can you do. If he were smart he wouldn't be a tile guy.

PS When you're at Megahome, looking at a box of light switches labelled "Contractor Grade", do you know what that means? That means that these are the cheapest light switches that the light switch company knows how to make. They're intended to work until the contractors are out of there and the keys are handed over, and not one minute longer.
