The Stupidest Thing Anybody Ever Did Part Two:
I look in to Web forums every once in a while. They're very valuable resources if you ever need to know which P90 is the most authentic or which paint base has opacity problems or what the specific question actually was before the Florida Supreme Court in December 2000.
You're usually expected or even requested to search the forum before asking a question because some certain questions get asked every day. So okay, you search "Old Chevy" You would think, of course, that the forum software's search function would give you everything with "Old Chevy" in it.
Some genius, in his wisdom, wrote the forum software so it would return everything with "Old" and everything with "Chevy", which turns out to be four billion responses and is hence not a search at all because there is no actual useful sort resulting.
I talked to an admin about this once and he says there isn't even a setting where he could fix this. That's the way the software is. The search function that might be the most important part of the whole thing is, in fact, mostly useless.
