This would be a good time to mention that the school systems with the biggest budgets have some of the worst outcomes, and the school systems with the smallest budgets have some of the best outcomes.

Anyone whose answer to improved education is "more money" is wrong. And, of course, any such person is usually motivated by hopes of some kind of personal gain.

On the other hand, for rich neighborhoods to have schools with jacuzzis and lush sports facilities, and poor neighborhoods to have schools that can't afford books, is wrong. The lefties who want to level the incomes of all the people should start with leveling the resources of all the schools.
