Ordinary dummies with their ordinary ineptitude can be wrong, but professionals don't enjoy the luxury of irresponsibility.

If you vote for a charming but evil congressman, it doesn't matter too much. Most of them are that way anyway. If the gutter guys put gutters on your house and they don't work, that's only to be expected.

But, if you're an engineer and you screw up a calculation, sixty cars full of people plunge into the river to a horrible, painful, terrifying death when the bridge falls down.
