Here's a way to reduce medical expenses:
I go to one of those clinic places with a bunch of doctors and staff. It's run by a University so you know it's extra-corrupt and money-grubbing.
Whenever you go there, whatever it's for, they schedule you for a "follow-up" appointment. The "follow-up" appointment consists of you taking off work, driving over there, sitting in a room, and the doctor or one of the paradocs coming in and asking you how everything's going. You say "okay", and they say okay, thanks, and they go off and write up a $150 office visit. All day long.
I think that we can eliminate this practice.
Once they called me in to "follow up" a prostate procedure. What were they supposed to do, inspect my weenie? They didn't even know what to do with me when I was there. I showed it to the nice lady, and went home.
