Chapter 8

One of the regrettable fashions of this year (2011) is men's shirts with short, untuckable tails.
They allow the wearer to walk around with his shirttails out, without actually taking responsibility for having done so.
"It's not me, it's the shirt!"

Okay, we know that clothing designers and other sundry puppeteers are always striving to produce better ways for a person to look like crap. Looking like crap fosters low self-esteem, low self-esteem fosters submission, and submission is good from the standpoint of the marketers.

But if you want your shirttails out, why don't you just have your shirttails out like we did in 1965? Instead of going out to the store and buying a caricature of having done so?
