One of the selling points of the audio CD, when it was introduced, was that you could get the full concert experience without all those ticks, clicks, and scratches that analog disks had.

Well, if you go to a classical concert, the guy on your left is waving around his text-o-phone, with the screen about as bright as a traffic flare. The guy in front of you is snoring, and the girl behind you is whacking what she thinks is the rhythm on the back of your chair.

The ticks are probably a better experience, all told.
