You don't believe it?

"Believe" is a dangerous word.
It takes the issue of whether or not you are ignorant out of your hands.

If you choose not to "believe" something and that something turns out to be untrue, congratulations, you are appropriately skeptical.

If you choose not to "believe" something that happens to be true, the English word for that is "ignorant".

You might choose to be skeptical, and you might not want to be ignorant. But, if you go around arbitrarily disbelieving things instead of evaluating them, you're throwing the issue of your ignorance into the court of pure dumb luck.
