I appreciate what the anti-alcohol activists are doing and thinking. Honest, I do.
But in the first place, we do for the most part have to let people make their own decisions. You are put on this earth to do your life, take your tests, and learn from your choices. To interfere with this is far more significant than simpleminded people appreciate. When we pass from this world and we go to face the man with the big book, we might find out that interfering with people's decisions is a sin not much different from murder.
In the second place, Jesus Himself turned water to wine. In fact, it was the first public cool thing that he did. We might ascribe this action to the recklessness of youth but the fact remains that He provided wine for the people, and one might reasonably presume that He wasn't against it.
