Memo to anyone making Drum Machines or Similar:

When you're loading your product with preset patterns, DON'T get a drummer or programmer to make bip skiddily ooga booga ugga dogga bang, bip skiddily ooga booga ugga dogga bang. Those kinds of patterns, which is most of what you've been doing in the past, might make you feel good but they're useless.

Here's what you should be doing: Decide which musical genres you want to serve. Select a bunch of successful songs in those genres. Duplicate the drum tracks in those songs. Make those drum tracks your preset patterns.

If you do that, your customers will have some usable stuff in your product. In contrast with most of my previous experience.
