"All of our (counselors, carpenters, candle-stick makers) are trained".
What do you mean, "trained"?
I don't want somebody who has been "trained".
I want somebody who is competent.
You train dogs. You train seals. You train fleas.
Humans are supposed to possess knowledge, logic, perception,
and adaptability. If anything, "training" is antithetical to these qualities.
Anyone for whom "training" is good enough, is probably not good enough.
Besides, schools only require 65% correctness to certify a student's work as adequate. When some "trained" worker is putting a new roof on your house, you don't want 65% of it to be correctly sealed and leak-free. You want 100% of it not to leak.
