Today at the liquor store I found a ten-dollar bill on the floor by the door. I took it to the cashier and said, "If somebody says that they lost ten dollars..."

We hear sometimes that a person who is not acting in his self-interest is "stupid". On the contrary, actually acting in your self-interest is the stupidest thing possible. Cockroaches do it. Earthworms do it. It's not that hard.

The whole idea of being a human being depends largely on the ability to share, contribute, cooperate, and create within an ethical structure.
